Speaker: Robert (Bob) Koehne 

When the new police constable Dudley ‘Deadly’ Nicholls arrives on Kangaroo Island, he stumbles across a dark secret... Rotarian, Diplomat and former Footballer Bob is going to tell us about his inspiration and how he set about writing his first novel.

Speaker: Mark Huddleston

Mark is a respected and much sought after commentator, presenter and prolific blogger on Rotary’s membership challenges. He has spoken at over 100 clubs, conferences, webinars and training events, and has run in excess of 10 dedicated membership seminars and events. He is passionate about modernising Rotary and making the organisation more attractive to a younger audience.

The students will give us a quick overview of the event and their learnings followed by an opportunity for more than our normal share of fellowship. 

Speaker: John Eakins 

The hottest and driest content in the world with all of our major population centres separated further than any other countries make this essential service one of the most challenging and yet essential to provide.  John will discuss his experience and the challenges involved in successfully delivering refrigerated freight around the country.

Speaker: James Baker 

James is an advocate for social justice both locally and internationally and has completed high profile placements including with AusAID at the UN in New York and the World Bank in Jakarta. James will be sharing some of his experiences in navigating overseas legals systems.  Having been a lawyer for some time he is now following another path...   

Speaker: Jo Baxter 

"Substance abuse and addiction to illicit drugs is a global problem and can only be stopped by joint efforts of all society layers and organizations in a joined, structural and continued action. It is not only the responsibility of governments." Jo is a former President of Rotary Club of Modbury, a Paul Harris Fellow and is currently on the board of the Rotary Action Group for Addiction Prevention the group tasked by Rotary with co-ordinating Rotary's efforts in this important area.

Our meeting next week the meeting is a committees meeting.  

South Australian Police Officer of the Year and Officer in Charge of Yorke Mid North Local Service Area, Superintendent Mark Syrus says he is fortunate to do what he loves and see the rewards of it amongst young people facing difficulties.  For 25 years he has volunteered his time and expertise to the Operation Flinders Foundation in challenging and character building exercises for young men and women.

Speaker: The Honourable Steven Marshall MP

Former Premier of South Australia, The Honourable Steven Marshall MP is proud of the more than 7,000 tech jobs his government created in South Australia and after stepping back from the leadership he has continued his work attracting more tech giants to the state including a privately funded recent trip to Silicon Valley.

Speaker:  John Arvier 

ROMAC provides surgical treatment for children in Australia and New Zealand from developing countries in our Pacific Region.  John who is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon from Queensland will be speaking about the functions of ROMAC and perhaps how we can support them in their valuable work.

Allan’s passion for radio started at a young age when as a teenager he was a regularly seen around Sydney radio stations 2GB, 2UW, 2SM and 2CH. For a while ran a “radio station” at his high school before going on a detour into the world of IT and postings around the world including Singapore, Beijing and Boston.  He now presents Memories of Gold on RadioKSA 

Speaker: Peter Martin

Peter was raised and educated in Adelaide. He has been a science editor in London and worked for UNESCO in Paris. Most of his career has been as a science writer and communicator with CSIRO in Canberra and with Cooperative Research Centres based at the University of Adelaide and UniSA. He is president of the SA Branch of Sustainable Population Australia and In 2014 he initiated the Wakefield Futures Group, a group of ten senior Australian scientists, writers and policymakers that considers sustainability issues..

Speaker: Jacqui Caudle

Meals on Wheels SA was founded in 1954 by Doris Taylor MBE when she was only 16, disabled and living in Norwood. Since then, they have delivered over 50 million meals to South Australians.  Jacque Caudle joined the organisation in 2021 as their business Development Manager.

Five went out and only four have made it back find out who...  Not only do we have students presenting on their experience and learnings from the One and All, RYPEN and RYLAR but we are also lucky enough to be joined by the Rotary Club of McLaren Vale and our very own globe trotter Jerry.

Cafe Outside The Square is one of Adelaide's leading providers of both food support and training opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable people right across South Australia.  Andrew Cole is a director at Cafe Outside the Square where he puts to use his 20+ years of experience in commercial training to work hopefully helping people get their lives on track.  After 5 years sharing a site with Vinnies, they're now on the move...

Speaker: Melanie Tate 

Puddle Jumpers Inc is a non profit, non-government organisation committed to responding to the social development needs of society’s most vulnerable children and young people; especially those children who do not live with their birth parents.  Melanie Tate is the founder and CEO of the organisation setup to ensure that children in need get the support they deserve.
