Speaker:  Don Will

One and All is a tall ship based in Adelaide, and rigged for twelve sails, which are controlled by 100 lines. After being launched in 1985, she took part in the First Fleet Re-enactment Voyage as part of Australia's bicentenary celebrations, travelling from Rio de Janeiro back to Australia.^[1] She was commonly used for sail training, offering courses and voyages that last from between a few hours to many weeks, especially for youth at risk. The vessel is run by registered not for profit group Friends of One and All Sailing ship Inc. and supported by volunteers and professional crew.

Come and hear from attendees at a variety of youth programmes, which our club has sponsored.  A great chance to find out about the programmes and the difference we make.

The Rotary Club of Somerton Park have started an initiative to get inetr club discussion.  On Monday they will have the first trial morning tea at the District Shed at Stopford Road.

Speaker: Pamela Rajkowski

Pamela Rajkowski is a research author specialising in the history, heritage and contribution of the Australian Afghan Cameleers ( 1860 - 1930). Pamela regularly collaborates with Afghan Cameleer descendants across Australia.  Although  her research is founded on a range of secondary sources ( eg archives, news papers,), it is enriched by ongoing conversations with descendants.

Pamela's work has been sourced by academics, musuems and the media, both nationally and internationally.

Pamela is credited as being one of the first authors to reseach the history of the Afghan cameleers of Australia and uncovered previously unknown files of stolen generation Aboriginal children of Western Australia ( Linden Girl) that remained active until the 1970s.

As those attending the meetings over the past few eeeks will know, the club has elected to hold its Christmas Function at the Hyde Park Tavern on King William Road.  

The cost will be $60 and partners and friends are welcome to come.  The bill will be settled on the night by payment from the club account.  Prepayment by December 12th is therefore essential.  Payment must be made into the club account as follows:-
